Underwater white balance to realize natural colors

The "Underwater" mode under the white balance menu is recommended for photography enthusiasts who have a specific preference. Even in combination with other shooting modes and settings, this mode provides optimal white balance for underwater photography, producing natural color hues.

Select an EXR mode or P, A or S with the mode dial.		(1) Select WHITE BALANCE from MENU.		(2) Select the fish-shaped icon for the underwater photography.

Choose the color tone you want with Film Simulation.

"Fujichrome": This reversal film may be familiar to you if you have some photography experience. F550EXR features the color reproduction ability of "Fujichrome" Select from the following modes; "Velvia/Vivid" for vivid tones; "PROVIA/Standard" for natural tones; and "ASTIA/Soft" for soft tones. You can also select "B & W" to take black and white shots, and create a nostalgic mood with "Sepia".

(1) From MENU or the F button, select FILM SIMULATION.		(2) Select the mode you like. Note: When EXR AUTO is selected, PROVIA/STANDARD, B&W or SEPIA can be selected.

Adjust the finish as you prefer

You can take high-key photos having bright and delicate tones or low-key photos having dark and dignified tones as you like, by adjusting the exposure.

(1) Press the selector up for exposure compensation.		(2) Press the selector up or down to adjust the exposure value. Note: When EXR AUTO or the auto mode is selected, exposure cannot be adjusted.		(3) The adjusted value is displayed.
